been in this studio for a long time now. it’s like labor. you can tell because i’m smoking. i’m the husband, or else the estranged boyfriend in the waiting room. i hear my lover shriek and cry and shout my name. sometimes there’s so much anger in her too.
when this is all over i’m going to have a big glass of scotch, sit by a window, and call my parents.
